About the show

Yuki Tanabe transforms industrial forms into delicate ceramic sculptures that balance precision with fragility.

The fourteen works gathered here were created over three years in Tanabe's Kyoto studio. Drawing from mechanical components, architectural details, and everyday tools, the artist recreates familiar structures in glazed ceramic. Small imperfections are left visible throughout, allowing each piece to retain evidence of its making while challenging assumptions about function and permanence.

The result is a body of work that feels both engineered and organic. Seen together, the sculptures move between utility and memory, inviting visitors to consider how objects continue to shape our lives long after their original purpose has disappeared.
